TNA. Try Harder or Stop Trying So Hard.

You know about TNA. It's that wrestling show you hate.
That statement is true for many, however some of us...(well me at least) just want TNA to strive to thrive and move upward and onward. Why?
Well firstly and probably most importantly, I don't wanna see dozens if not hundreds of people lose their jobs. We need to remember that there are real people behind the facepaint, masks and baby oil and not to mention all the office jobs involved with running a partially global wrestling promotion.
On top of that REAL stuff I would love TNA to become a true number 2 company and give fans more reason to celebrate them rather than constantly bash them. You see for many, especially UK wrestling fans, TNA is actually easier to watch than WWE.
Most digital TV subscriptions in the UK come with Challenge TV as a standard, where as WWE's UK home is on Sky Sports and costs in the region of £20-£30 to add to your subscription. So in the UK TNA should really have more support, but it's hard to support something when everybody is knocking it from left to right.

Don't get me wrong Impact was much hotter in the UK, the six sides, the X Division, fresh talent like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe made for a really innovative and alternative promotion. It had that almost subculture like feeling when you looked at it from afar.
Then over the span of couple of years TNA started to resemble a new WCW, harvesting ex WWE talent and using names of wrestling past to pull in viewers. As I've said before wrestling and nostalgia go hand in hand but overuse of golden oldies becomes too much of a good thing.

See Hogan.

While TNA has had some great talent that has shined through, in recent years (the Hogan years) older talent has really kicked their feet from under them. Of course this happens in WWE as well but it's not on such a mass scale and as constant. If TNA held back on the so called big legend names and kept them to support younger and newer talent that would surely improve interest.
There have been times when new talent has been centre stage and even beaten these legends but thats the point. Why is it a must that older names be involved in the first place?
Out of the 42 World Championship reigns (including NWA championship) 31 have been held by ex WWE, ECW and WCW talent.
Yes, a number of these champions have been credible and worthy but it doesn't create an alternative programme just a different one.

When TNA feels more organic and actually utilizes its homegrown guys it really proves it can deliver and develop its own direction. Back track that. When TNA feels more organic and actually utilizes fresh, lesser known guys it REALLY proves it can deliver and develop its own direction.

Of course there is so much more to TNA improving its game and making a positive mark on wrestling history but I aint no booker or promoter. This is just what I think could make a major difference in what could give TNA that overall improvement.
I'm just a fan and that is my opinion. I am not scared to say I am a fan of TNA and do want it to be better rather than be closed down or snapped up and trashed by McMahon Corp.
