Top 5 TNA Moments

TNA has been doing more harm than good in a lot of people eyes recently, so I just wanted to remind myself and anyone who feels TNA still has a chance or anyone who is a TNA fan how good it has been at times.
Now these moments may not of changed TNA for the good or the bad, these moments may not be remembered by many but to me they are great moments for the company.

5
Hogan is TNA

Number 5 makes it to the list simply because of the significance of the main man involved.  Almost 4 years ago the Immortal Hulk Hogan went and joined TNA, I never heard or read anything about this happening until it actually was announced on October 27th 2009.
Hogan carrying considerably more good stock back then, going to TNA was either a well grabbed signature in the Impact Zones filing cabinet or desperation from a "money and spotlight grabbing" aging Hulkster.
Either way when I heard about this I was amazed, shocked and had to watch the January 4th 2010 episode of Impact to see Hollywood turn up in the number 2 promotion. In my eyes if anything can get you to watch TNA it's got to be a good thing!

4
X Division is Born

This championship is what really set TNA aside from WWE. Even though the E has had its Light Heavyweight and Cruiserweight Championships they have never really taken any form of precedence or been a marquee attraction.
The X Division is TNAs second title so it would take a bigger place in comparison but the fact that X Division matches have often stolen the show in any Asylum or Impact Zone just goes to show its importance within the company.
The X Division Championship has showcased some amazing champions such as Styles, Joe and Jerry Lynn to Doug Williams, Austin Aries and Rob Van Dam.

3
Kurt Angle Debuts

No Surrender 2006 Dixie Carter announced that TNA had signed the only Olympic gold medalist in pro-wrestling / sports entertainment history. Kurt Angle had recently parted ways with WWE and was quickly picked up by TNA in a some what questionable move, seeing as he left WWE apparently for being broken down.
However October 19th Angle made his official live Impact Zone debut. He rose from the entrance ramp like a phoenix from the ashes and oozed intensity as he stomped to the ring with the Impact Zone completely losing their bollocks. Angle came face to face with, the then "possessor" of the NWA-TNA Championship, Samoa Joe and after a few seconds of stand off Angle delivered a viciously thudding headbutt to Joe and held the NWA strap as a signal to Joe and the Impact Zone of what's to come.
The two then went on a spud fisted brawl broken up by security to end the show.
This has to be still, TNA's biggest WWE alumni signing. Angle maybe wanting to prove that he was still able to go at 150% for a few more years and only recently winding down to maybe 100%.

2
NWA goes MIA

Sure NWA has history that arguably is second to none but personally, in my opinion, I think of it as my Grandads championship. Not that he won the NWA Championship or any wrestling championship but it has that old timey feel to it.
When TNA and NWA parted ways in May of 2007 Impact had to get hold of it own exclusive championship title and start a new lineage.
This really signified that TNA had started evolving into a full grown up promotion and was going to create its own credibility. It alone may of not make a huge difference or any difference to TNAs overall fate but definitely gave it a fresh lick of paint.

1
The Three Way

Unbreakable 2005 was the home to this stella Triple Threa..... Sorry, Three Way Dance. Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe and AJ Styles in full batshit crazy mode made this match one of the best, if not the best match in TNA's history.

If you haven't seen this match I do urge you to give it a spin, the three men are on a completely different level from what they are now. Unfortunately that's not necessarily a good thing, all three went 110% through the whole match something we don't really see from these guys so much now.
Sure they still often pull great matches but this one was just something special.

Highlighted by the fact the match was for the one of the most over championships at the time, this super fast, super hard, high flying bout has really set the bar as far as TNA could reach.
